Canada Customs Broker - AES Filing for Self Propelled Vehicles

A.D. Rutherford International has adapted AES Direct to file Electronic Export Information (EEI) to the Automated Export System (AES).

Effective April 5, 2014 all U.S. exports of used self propelled vehicles, regardless of value will be required to file EEI through AES. The exemption from AES reporting for goods destined to Canada no longer applies for used-self propelled vehicles.

CBP will deny entry to if AES has not been filed.

Please note that U.S. Customs and Border Protections has implemented a grace period of 180 days (until October 2, 2014) for exporters to come into compliance with the new requirements for export reporting. After October 2nd, penalties of up to US$10,000 may be issued for non-compliance.
